Cecilia Dilworth och Henrik Christensen, doktorander i rysk litteratur vid Slaviska avdelningen, deltar i XVII International Dostoevsky Symposium i Boston 15–19 juli, organiserat av IDS (The International Dostoevsky Society) och NADS (The North American Dostoevsky Society).

Symposiet infaller 150 år efter publikationen av romanen Idioten (1869), ett jubileum som kommer att ges särskild plats på konferensen.

Cecilia kommer att presentera ett paper med titeln ”Metaphors in House of the Dead and the Discourse of Peasant Liberation” och Henrik ska hålla ett föredrag med titeln ”Dostoevsky and the Biographical Novel: Creating Symbolic Truths in Leonid Tsypkin’s Summer in Baden-Baden (1981), J. M. Coetzee’s The Master of Petersburg (1994), and Lara Vapnyar’s Memoirs of a Muse (2007).”
