Dr. hab. Agnieszka Budzyńska-Daca, University of Warsaw:

Pre-election debate as a rhetorical genre. Politicians - audiences - speeches

The subject of the lecture is the rhetorical critique of media artifacts. The final pre-election debate is the genre selected for analysis. The study concerns the visual sphere of the pre-election debate. Four spaces have been identified in the process of creating and receiving the debate: the space of meeting (chosen), the space of interaction (shaped), the space of image (transformed) and the space of reception (perceived). Each space has two rhetorical dimensions: external and internal. Examination of these dimensions allows us to understand and evaluate the process of communication between the participating entities.
